The Canadian Printing Industries Association operates in partnership with five Formally Affiliated Regional Associations. Membership in CPIA is contingent upon a firm first belonging to one of the FARAs, where one exists.

The current list of CPIA's Formally Affiliated Regional Associations includes:

• The Northern Alberta Printers Association (NAPA)
• The Ontario Printing and Imaging Association (OPIA)
• the printing and graphics industries association of alberta (pgia)
• The Saskatchewan Graphic Arts Industries Association (SGAIA)
